There is a lot of preparation involved.

Making Of Filings

You have to make your filling before you start making the dumplings so that it could get marinated. Mix all the ingredients except cabbage and keep the mixture for about 1 to 2 hours. Till the time the ingredients are getting marinated you can prepare the cabbage to mix in it. Cut the cabbage across in thin slices, then chop the slices up into tiny pieces. The cabbage should be kept with salt in it for 30 minutes before mixing it with the other mixture.

Making Of Dumpling Dough

You need not have so many ingredients for making dough for dumplings. Flour and water are the only ingredients for this dumpling dough recipe. Take 3 cups of all purpose flour and mix it with 1 cup of room temperature water and mix it together to form a soft dough. Now leave it for 10 min for better results.

Making Of Wrappers

Divide and shape each half of the dough into a 12-inch long roll. Cut the pieces into ½ inch pieces and make balls of it. Press it flat on your surface with the heel of your hand and then use a rolling pin to roll the dough back and forth with the rolling pin. You need not make a perfect circle for it.

Final Dumpling Making

Take a wrapper and place the filling in using the spoon in it. The filling should now be too much so that it will come out. Now fold the wrapper and pinch the edges together to seal it.

You have the option to make your Dumpling boiled, fried and steamed. You can choose any of these.
